ASHLEY PARLETT MALEC
35 year old, Maryland raised, dream chaser, NASCAR mechanic, retired stunt driver, washed up sprint car driver, public speaker, cyclist, artist, 24 Hours of LeMans winner, pretend blonde, six-foot tall, triathlete, wanderer, BELIEVER, motivated American woman.
My name is Ashley Parlett. My story is on going. When I was 13 years old I decided that I wanted to be a race car driver when I grew up. When the wrecks outnumbered the wins I was given the greatest gift. Through the disappointment in what I thought were "shattered dreams" I found my true destiny. I learned to adjust my focus and once I did I found my true passion. At age 21 I decided that my goal was to be a professional mechanic in NASCAR. After 12 years in the industry I found myself at the highest ranks in the industry.
While my goals from here continue to take shape I have begun finding true enjoyment in guiding the next generation of females. The years that I spent chasing my dreams were also spent in a silent struggle as I navigated the NASCAR industry. I now find true fulfillment in sharing my struggles that raged between my ears daily.
